A Memorandum of Understanding between UniSIM, the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and Construction Industry Joint Committee (CIJC) signed on 15 May 2012 will serve as another pillar for the Bachelor of Building and Project Management (BBPM) programme. The eight member organisations of the CIJC comprises the Society of Project Managers, Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers, Singapore Contractors Association, Singapore Institute of Building, Singapore Institute of Architects, Institute of Engineers Singapore, Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore and Real Estate Developer’s Association of Singapore. Under the MOU, the members of the CIJC will serve as UniSIM's partners to support the BBPM programme. The CIJC will nominate and appoint representatives from among its professional members to sit on the programme’s advisory panel to give feedback and offer advice. In addition, representatives from CIJC will be appointed to be course designers, developers, instructors and assessors to ensure that the BBPM programme remains relevant to the industry. Through this collaboration, students in the programme can expect to learn, assimilate and implement the best industry practices even before they graduate, making the programme unique in Singapore. The head of the BBPM programme, said: "We are very happy to receive the support of the BCA and CIJC for the programme. This collaboration underscores the strong industrial support for the programme which is a common characteristic shared by many of UniSIM's degree programmes." * On 17 March 2017, SIM University (UniSIM) was renamed Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) as part of its re-structuring to become a Singapore autonomous university.
